Creative Connections are spaces where youth can explore, learn and grow into their own place in the creative arts industries through connections to exhibition & performance opportunities, internships, formal coursework, and public arts spaces.

Emerging Artist Program

The Emerging Artists Program supports NYC emerging artists between the ages of 14 - 20, who have exhibited exceptional artistic talent, but lack the resources and support to turn that talent into opportunities for their future.

The program provides emerging artists with a rigorous schedule of coursework, project creation, networking, paid internships, showcase opportunities, two-year planning, a transportation stipend and career-counseling in the creative professional industries. Emerging Artists go on to become art students, performers and, above all, responsible young adults with a clear vision and a plan for their personal success.

As an Art Start Emerging Artist-in-Residence, I’ve enjoyed a place to explore myself and the world, freely. It’s brought new life to my music, dance, story-writing and poetry, and given me the confidence to share my art with the world.
